Nothing like a random friend-remove notification to make you wonder where, how, or what you've done wrong/messed up. Especially when it's someone you thought you were on fairly decent terms with.

Should probably drop her a note, ask what's up, but I think I'll wait a little bit since there's a chance it might sound whiny, accusatory, or something. Because the only thing I can think I've done wrong lately is accidentally call someone else her name in a conversation, which is understandable as sleep deprived as I've been lately.

Ah well. Time to piddle around a bit more and then maybe try for some more sleep. 5 hours of sleep after being up 24 hours is kind of a sucky deal after all.

Day 5 ~ Six Habits.

1. I bite my nails.
2. When I'm bored/thinking I tend to chew on my tongue
3. I pluck out hair constantly. Just lounging around with a pair of tweezers going away at my chin/face.
4. Not quite so bad now, but I used to do that annoying leg jiggling/toe tapping thing.
5. I tend to pick scabs, when I have them.
6. I tend to poke at sore things. If it stings to bend my finger a certain way, I tend to do it again out of spite just to see.

How does shipping things work? Because everywhere I look at shipping things overseas it keeps trying to say that even the smallest of packages would cost over $70 to ship? WHAT AM I DONG WRONGGGG? ;A;

I'm asking because my mother got me to set up a "Box of Louisiana"
for the help_japan auctions, but she's confessed to being worried about international shipping charges. Since the current high bidder is from Malaysia I'm unsure as to how much a box of random junk would actually cost to ship.

PS: Current total of potential money earned for charity? $45. I know it's not much, but it still feels like I'm actually accomplishing something for once.

First round of otp20in20 is over and boy was it amazing! So many gorgeous icons and awesome people were involved! With the advent of the second round coming in the near future I'm looking forward to seeing just what's in the future of such a great community!

Not only did I get an awesome participation banner, one of my icons placed second in it's theme catagory. I'm shocked and giddy and humbled not only at the people who voted for my icon, but for how awesome the mods are for making such great banners for each and every participant. You can really tell they put a lot of time and effort into their community and the userbase clearly loves them for it. :3 (I know I do.)

Isn't it awesome? I've already signed up for round two. General pairings from Nana so that should be interesting and fun.

That said, Hillary and I had this awesome idea of moving her old tv into my room and the main tv into her room. The main room doesn't really have any heat so it's freezing to be out there which is why neither one of us has done any gaming lately.

So with the way it's set up now the PS3 is in my room and the 360 is in hers. So now I can get back to finishing Persona 3, something I've wanted to do for a while now. Cheers!

otp20in20 I'll have a post ready soon, but for now I thought I'd go ahead and make a post for this. OTP 20 in 20 sounds pretty fun as far as I'm concerned and I'm even going to attempt to try my hand at it. Wit probably some rather wonky results since I haven't done anything that requires fancy textures and text in forever, but it could be fun.

My claim is for the overall pairings of Star Driver. So that'll be pretty interesting.

Took forever, but new mood theme is up. Still not 100% happy with it, but when am I ever?  I'll work on updating my icons and possibly yet another layout after I've had some sleep.

That's 5 episodes of Shiki I've sat through now Mia, don't think I'm letting you out on your promise. Man, this show totally isn't one of my preferred genres at all. It's not bad, just not the sort of thing I typically enjoy watching. The mystery to it's actually pretty cool so far. Guess that's to be expected from a Noitamina, right?

I've had the same layout/icons for a while now and it really felt like it was time for a change.

My layout is all new and sparkly clean. I wanted something light/bright after how dark the last one was. It's a nice change of pace, you know?

I've... put off the meme for a while now, but I guess I should actually see something through for once. So I'll go ahead and at least attempt to get back on track. I'm not doing all 14 days at once though, that'd be silly. So I'll just do day 2 for now and call it good.

Day 2 - One of your Favorite anime you’ve watched so far

Favorite anime out of everything I've ever watched ever? You don't want much from me, do you meme?

See, I find it nearly impossible to answer this question because I'm really more of a "which genre am I in the mood for?" type person. So my favorite depends on my mood and which genre I want to watch at that moment in time.

So ultimately to answer this question I looked at my still rather incomplete MAL anime list and went "Which one of these series would I watch over every other series on that list?" and that's how I came up with the answer.




Record of Lodoss War OVA

This is probably one of the first if not the first anime that I ever watched in it's entirety. After all, back in the day my parents didn't approve of anything animated that came from Japan and since I was a youngester it was harder to get around them to watch things. (my internet access wasn't so great then. Young people these days have it so easy!)

Anyways, onto the anime itself now that my nostalgia is out of the way. Record of Lodoss War is, ironically, based off of someone's DnD (or a game like it) campaign. So it's actually got a pretty typical party set up. You've got the young adventurer Parn who's a total green horn but has a good heart. The old, grumpy dwarf axeman who's really a softy if you can find the right spot. The well meaning cleric, the wizard/sorcerer who wants to fully master his craft, and the hot elf chic who's good with a rapier and can summon nature spirits too. The characters are enjoyable, there's not a single one of them that I dislike. The minor characters can be pretty amazing as well even some of the villains aren't bad. The plot's pretty standard for a campaign I suppose. It's got evil kings trying to conquer and unify areas of land, secret sects who want to revive ancient goddesses of destruction, and a rogue witch from an ancient civilization who watches over everything and moves the characters around like their pawns on her cheeseboard.

Otherwise known as it's bloody fantastic and you should all watch it. Not Chronicles of the Heroic knight, that's a totally different series and mutilates some of the characters. Not Crystania either, that's another unfortunate spin off.

So now onto finding a new mood theme and updating my icons. :D
